West Noble traveled to Garrett Friday night to play visitor to a homecoming crowed for Garrett. The Chargers and the railroaders would trade possessions throughout the first half before the Chargers offense finally got going. The Chargers would throw a trick play from slot receiver josh gross to Spencer Shrock for a 30 yard touchdown strike. Later in the half Sophomore Brandon Pruitt would take a draw play for an 80 yard touchdown run. The Chargers would lead 13-0 at the half. The railroaders would finally find the end zone midway through the third to pull within six. On the ensuing kickoff, freshman Gustavo Taylor would take the kickoff 80 yards to paydirt. Sophomore Mark Silva would hit his second extra point to put the Chargers up 20-7. The railroaders would then gather their offense and make several key plays to fight their way back to take the lead 21-20. The Chargers would drive down the field with 1:30 to play, but fell short as Garret would go on to win by a score of 21-20. Leading the way for the Chargers on the ground was sophomore Brandon Pruitt who I would carry 9 times for 95 yards and a score. Senior Spencer Shrock carried the ball 9 times for 51 yards. Sophomore Josh Gross had 1 carry for 17 yards. Leading the way through the air for the Chargers was Chase Wroblewski with 51 yards on 8-15 throws. Josh Gross was 1-1 for 30 yards and a score. Leading receivers for the chargers were Spencer Shrock with 4 catches for 36 yards and a score. Josh Gross had 3 catches for 33 yards. Sophomore Mark Silva handled the kicking duties on the night making 2-3 extra points. Senior punter Sebastian Loy punted 5 times to average 40 yards per punt. The Chargers will look to rebound in a huge homecoming showdown with Lakeland next Friday night. Can’t wait to pack the house next Friday night. Go Chargers!!
