The West Noble Chargers would play host to the Lakeland Lakers for 2017 homecoming. The Chargers came out of the gates on fire, as they would take an early 21-12 halftime lead in front of a standing room only crowd. However the Lakers would not quit all night and dug their way out of a 29-12 third quarter hole. Their run heavy offense wore down the Chargers through out the second half. The Lakers would grab the lead 38-29 before the Chargers would score late to make it 38-36. The ensuing onside kickoff would sail out of bounds and the Lakers would hold on to win 38-36. Leading the way for the Chargers on the ground once again was Brandon Pruitt as he would carry the ball 21 times for a career high 198 yards and two scores. Fellow classmate Josh Gross would add 60 yards on just one carry. Senior Chase Wroblewski was 7-16 for 130 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for another. Senior Spencer had 3 catches for 61 yards. Senior Jason Pruitt had 1 catch for 27 yards and a score, while sophomore Josh Gross hauled in 1 pass for 30 yards. Sophomore kicker Mark Silva was perfect on the night on extra points as he would make all four. The Chargers would like to thank all of the fans for their support, and will look to rebound next week as they go on the road to face the Churbusco Eagles.
