The Chargers defeated Eastside Tuesday night. Leading the Chargers in kills was Jenna Hutsell with 6. Leading with 18 assists was Taytlynn Forrer. Tressa Hodge lead with 6 digs. Alli Baker lead with 3 aces on the night. The Chargers travel to Churubusco Thursday. Great job Chargers!!

Game Recap

The West Noble junior varsity football team played host to the visiting Garret Railroaders on Monday evening. The Chargers would take an early 6-0 lead on a Gustavo Taylor’s rush up the middle. The Chargers defense would hold the Railroaders to a quick three and out and would quickly score again as sophomore Eion Fuleki would grab a touchdown pass from sophomore Kyler Brown. The Chargers would take a 12-0 lead before Garret would find the end zone on a nice pitch and catch over a Charger defender. West Noble would take an 18-7 lead late in the fourth quarter as Freshman Gustavo Taylor would find the end zone once more on late fourth quarter scamper. The Railroaders would score one more late, to pull within three points, but the Chargers would hold on to an 18-15 score to get the victory!!! The Chargers grabbed their third win of the season to go to 3-3 and will be back on the road next Monday to play Lakeland.. Great way to start out homecoming week guys!! Go Chargers…

Meet Recap

The West Noble tennis team lost to Northwood on Monday 0-5. At #1 singles, Marcus Weimer was defeated by Ben Vincent 1-6, 0-6. Isaac Weimer was defeated at #2 singles by Landon Holland 3-6, 4-6. At #3 singles, Brock Bohde lost to Jack Wysong 1-6, 0-6. At #1 doubles, Caleb Thompson and Dillan Sumowski were defeated by Jared Hoffman and Brant Mast 0-6, 0-6. At #2 doubles, Andrew Shaw and Andrew Tom lost to Trevor Klotz and Trajan Schwartz 0-6, 0-6.  This was the final home match for senior tennis players Marcus Weimer and Brock Bohde.  Thanks to both for their contributions to West Noble tennis!

Game Recap

West Noble traveled to Garrett Friday night to play visitor to a homecoming crowed for Garrett. The Chargers and the railroaders would trade possessions throughout the first half before the Chargers offense finally got going. The Chargers would throw a trick play from slot receiver josh gross to Spencer Shrock for a 30 yard touchdown strike. Later in the half Sophomore Brandon Pruitt would take a draw play for an 80 yard touchdown run. The Chargers would lead 13-0 at the half. The railroaders would finally find the end zone midway through the third to pull within six. On the ensuing kickoff, freshman Gustavo Taylor would take the kickoff 80 yards to paydirt. Sophomore Mark Silva would hit his second extra point to put the Chargers up 20-7. The railroaders would then gather their offense and make several key plays to fight their way back to take the lead 21-20. The Chargers would drive down the field with 1:30 to play, but fell short as Garret would go on to win by a score of 21-20. Leading the way for the Chargers on the ground was sophomore Brandon Pruitt who I would carry 9 times for 95 yards and a score. Senior Spencer Shrock carried the ball 9 times for 51 yards. Sophomore Josh Gross had 1 carry for 17 yards. Leading the way through the air for the Chargers was Chase Wroblewski with 51 yards on 8-15 throws. Josh Gross was 1-1 for 30 yards and a score. Leading receivers for the chargers were Spencer Shrock with 4 catches for 36 yards and a score. Josh Gross had 3 catches for 33 yards. Sophomore Mark Silva handled the kicking duties on the night making 2-3 extra points. Senior punter Sebastian Loy punted 5 times to average 40 yards per punt. The Chargers will look to rebound in a huge homecoming showdown with Lakeland next Friday night. Can’t wait to pack the house next Friday night. Go Chargers!!
