The West Noble Lady Chargers earned their fourth straight win with a convincing 86-26 victory over host Hamilton. All 12 ladies saw significant playing time which lead to a balanced scoring effort. Leading the way on this night was freshmen Lilly Mast with an impressive 17 points while Lauren Burns and Megan Godfrey were also in double digits with 11 and 10 points respectfully. Tossing in 8 was Tara Miller and scoring 7 each was Tori Miller, Nichelle Phares and Becky Yoder. Rounding out the scoring effort was was Angela Gross and Kristina Teel with 6, Erin Shoemaker 4 and Madison Schermerhorn 3.

West Noble now finds themselves back home Saturday November 18th with an important conference matchup against visiting Angola. The JV ladies will begin at 6pm with the varsity game to follow.

Game Recap

The Lady Charger basketball team improved their record to 3-0 with a 60-34 home victory over visiting Bethany Christian. West Noble used a 20 point second quarter to pull away from a tough Bethany squad. Nine Chargers made added to the scoreboard lead by Kasia Weigold and Madison Schermerhorn with 10 each. Lauren Burns and Kristina Teel added 9 a piece while Tori Miller and Angela Gross addded 8 each. Rounding out the scoring was Megan Godfrey, Lilly Mast and Becky Yoder with 2 points each. West Noble hopes to continue it’s hot start with a road game at Hamilton next Friday and home game Saturday against Angola.

The JV ladies also ended up on the winning side with a solid 40-15 victory. After a slow start West Noble put the game away for good in the second half by outscoring the visitors 26-4. Once again the JV squad was lead by Lilly Mast with 14 and Nichelle Phares 11. Erin Shoemaker added 5, Taytlynn Forrer 4 and Lily Nelson, Tori Franklin and Jenna Hutsell tossed in 2 each.

Game Recap

The Lady Chargers opened up the newly remodeled gym with a hard fought 53-41 win over the visiting Columbia City Eagles. West Noble found themselves down after the first quarter but took the lead early in the second and held on the rest of the game, holding off numerous runs by a talented Eagle team. Seven ladies got on the scoreboard lead by Lauren Burns, Maddie Schermerhorn and Tori Miller with 10 points each. Kasia Weigold added 9 timely points while Megan Godfrey and Tara Miller had 5 each followed by Angela Gross with 4. West Noble now stands at 2-0 with their next game at home, Saturday against Bethany Christian.

The JV ladies also ended up on the winning side with a 37-22 victory. Lilly Mast once again lead the Chargers with 18 followed by 9 from Nichelle Phares. Rounding out the scoring was Erin Shoemaker with 6, Tori Franklin and Angela Caldwell added 2 each. The JV also is off to a 2-0 start.

The 2017-18 Lady Chargers basketball team got off to a winning start to the new season with a convincing 68-18 win over host Blackhawk Christian. No less than nine Chargers scored on this night, led by Megan Godfrey with 12, Lauren Burns 11 and Tara Miller added 10. Maddie Schermerhorn and Nina Teel tossed in 9 each followed by Nichelle Phares 6, Kasia Weigold and Lilly Mast 4 each with Becky Yoder rounding out the scoring with 3. West Noble led from the tip off but put the game out of reach with a 41-8 second half. The Chargers play next at home Tuesday Nov. 7 against Columbia City as they open up the long anticipated remodeled gym!

The junior varsity ladies also got off to a good start with a 48-14 victory to start the season. Lilly Mast lead all players with 18, followed by Taytlynn Forrer 7, Olivia Yates 6, Tressa Hodge 5 and Erin Shoemaker, Jenna Hutsell, and Tori Franklin pitched in 4 each.

The Chargers junior varsity football team traveled to Prairie Heights for a 10 am kickoff Saturday and won by a score of 44-14. The chargers played a great game and played some great defense. Leading the way for the Chargers was Steven Loy who carried 13 times for 190 yards and 3 carries touchdowns. Xhua Martin-Garcia had 4 carries for 80 yards and 2 touchdowns. Kyler Brown had 4 carries for 40 yards and threw a touchdown pass to Logan Sumowski. Sophomore Ricky Reyes was 2-2on his extra point try’s. The Chargers finished their jv season at 5 wins and 4 losses. Great job guys!!!

Our Lady Chargers lost a hard fought battle today. To say it was intense is an understatement. Our girls left their hearts out on the floor and for that we should be proud. The leaders for today were:

Thank to our fans for the support this season and thank you to our staff for countless hours in the gym. We are thankful for all of you and appreciate your time put into our program. We may have lost but we went out like chargers should… fighting.  The Chargers finished the season 25-9 while finishing 9-2 in the NECC and were crowned NECC Tourney Champions.  Great job ladies!

The lady chargers won NECC Tourney by defeating Lakeland, Central Noble, Fairfield, and Angola. The leading scorers for today were:
