West Noble Chargers JV Can’t Catch Up To Goshen
West Noble Chargers JV fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 21-10 loss to Goshen on Wednesday. Goshen scored on a walk by G Worthman, a walk by D Castillo, a single by J Hershberger, a single by F Figueroa, a walk by C Miller, a walk by M McLaughlin, a single by L Detwiler, a wild pitch during H McDonald’s at bat, and a walk by Castillo in the first inning.
Despite the loss, West Noble Chargers JV did collect four hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Goshen had ten hits on the way to victory.
West Noble Chargers JV notched four runs in the fourth inning. West Noble Chargers JV scored its runs on an RBI stolen base by Keegan Clark.
Miller earned the win for Goshen. The bulldog went three and two-thirds innings, allowing eight runs on three hits and striking out nine.
Elijah Bacon took the loss for West Noble Chargers JV. The bulldog surrendered seven runs on four hits over one-third of an inning.
Nevin Phares, Clark, Brady Shields, and Bailey Ruisard each managed one hit to lead West Noble Chargers JV. Shields led West Noble Chargers JV with four stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 16 stolen bases. West Noble Chargers JV didn’t commit a single error in the field. Clark had one chances in the field, the most on the team.
Goshen saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Detwiler and Miller each racked up multiple hits for Goshen. Goshen stole five bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Castillo led the way with two.
