West Noble Chargers Varsity Baseball fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 11-2 loss to East Noble on Monday. East Noble scored on a sacrifice fly by Trace Holliday and a fielder’s choice by Cole Schupbach in the second inning.
The West Noble Chargers Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of East Noble, giving up 11 runs.
East Noble fired up the offense in the second inning, when Holliday’s sac fly scored one run for East Noble.
East Noble scored seven runs in the fifth inning. Walker Leamon, Justin Marcellus, Brayden Risedorph, Noah Perkins, and Holliday each drove in runs during the inning.
Holliday earned the victory on the mound for East Noble. The fireballer went five innings, allowing one run on one hit, striking out nine and walking one. Eli Hanson threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Zayne Patrick took the loss for West Noble Chargers Varsity. The bulldog surrendered nine runs on eight hits over five innings, striking out two and walking zero.
West Noble Chargers Varsity smacked one home run on the day. Peter Bradley had a homer in the fifth inning.
Bradley and Randy Villanueva each collected one hit to lead West Noble Chargers Varsity.
East Noble collected nine hits on the day. Andrew Johnson and Risedorph all managed multiple hits for East Noble.
