The Lady Chargers had to go to overtime to secure a victory in Ligonier over the visiting East Noble Knights 46-43. The Chargers lead throughout the game but needed a driving lay-up by Lilly Mast as time expired to send the game into overtime. West Noble put the game away in overtime with timely shooting and solid defense. Lilly Mast was the games high scorer with 16 points followed by an outstanding effort Nichelle Phares who tossed in 11. Jazmyn Smith had 9, Tori Franklin added 6 points, Taytlynn Forrer 3 and Shey Torres 1. The Chargers wrap up their home and regular season schedule this Friday with a conference matchup against Fairfield on senior night. JV game will start at 4:30 with the varsity to follow. Senior recognition will take place between the JV and varsity games.
The junior varsity struggled to find the basket early in their game and could never fight their way all the way back, falling to East Noble 36-21. Maddie Yates had 7 points followed by freshman Hailey Moser who had 4. Olivia Yates had 3, Sara Gross, Ella Stoner and Kristen Cox had 2 points each while freshmen Emily Mawhorter rounded out the scoring with 1 point.
