After leading through three quarters the West Noble Lady Chargers couldn’t hold on and lost a tough conference and county battle with Central Noble 48-45. The Cougars were able to knock down three 3-pointers in the last stanza to push themselves over the top and win the fourth quarter 17-12. West Noble was lead by Jazmyn Smith with a game high 19 points, Lilly Mast 10, Taytlynn Forrer hit two 3’s for 6 points and Angela Caldwell tossed in 5. Rounding out the scoring was Nichelle Phares with 4 and Tori Franklin with 1. The Chargers are back to even at 6 and 6 and play at Prairie Heights next Saturday with a JV time of 4:30 and the varsity to follow.
The JV girls got off to a slow start and never recovered as they fell to the visiting Cougars 35-22. Olivia Yates had a team high of 7 with sister Maddie scoring 5. Others on the board were Maysie Clouse with 4 and Sara Gross, Emily Mawhorter and Hailey Moser with 2 each.
