West Noble Chargers Varsity built a six-run lead in the seventh inning and then held off Prairie Heights’s charge for an 11-10 victory on Thursday. Prairie Heights scored four runs in the failed comeback on a error, a error, and a single by Bre Walter.
Bats blistered as West Noble Chargers Varsity collected 12 hits and Prairie Heights tallied seven in the high-scoring game.
West Noble Chargers Varsity opened up scoring in the second inning when Tori Franklin singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
West Noble Chargers Varsity took the lead for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Kacee Click homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs.
Prairie Heights scored five runs in the seventh inning. The offensive onslaught by Prairie Heights was led by Haylee Henderson, Savana Phares, and Walter, all driving in runs in the frame.
Click earned the victory in the pitcher’s circle for West Noble Chargers Varsity. The fireballer surrendered five runs on four hits over five innings, striking out four.
Kiana Allshouse was in the circle for Prairie Heights. The hurler went four and a third innings, allowing six runs on seven hits and striking out three. Trinity Pratt threw two and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Franklin started the game for West Noble Chargers Varsity. The pitcher surrendered five runs on three hits over two innings
West Noble Chargers Varsity hit two home runs on the day. Click had a homer in the fourth inning. Taytlynn Forrer had a dinger in the fifth inning.
West Noble Chargers Varsity tallied 12 hits in the game. Lily Nelson, Jacelynn McDonald, Forrer, Franklin, and Click each managed multiple hits for West Noble Chargers Varsity. Nelson led West Noble Chargers Varsity with three hits in three at bats.
Prairie Heights totaled seven hits in the game. Walter and Kalli Aaron all managed multiple hits for Prairie Heights. Walter went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Prairie Heights in hits.
