West Noble Chargers Varsity Softball team took the lead late in the game in an 18-9 victory over Whitko on Wednesday. The game was tied at nine with West Noble Chargers Varsity batting in the bottom of the sixth when Tori Franklin singled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.
Hailey Moser led West Noble Chargers Varsity to victory by driving in four runs. Moser went 3-for-4 at the plate. Moser drove in runs on a double in the fifth, a walk in the sixth, and a home run in the sixth.
Whitko got things started in the first inning. Erin Starkweather singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Franklin earned the victory on the rubber for West Noble Chargers Varsity. The fireballer went five innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out five.
Augusta Garr was in the circle for Whitko. The hurler surrendered three runs on four hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking one. Maddie Dafforn threw two and a third innings out of the bullpen.
Kacee Click started the game for West Noble Chargers Varsity. Click went two innings, allowing eight runs on six hits and striking out one
West Noble Chargers Varsity launched one home run on the day. Moser had a four bagger in the sixth inning.
West Noble Chargers Varsity tallied 16 hits on the day. Franklin, Angela Caldwell, Moser, Taytlynn Forrer, Click, and Julia Vargas each racked up multiple hits for West Noble Chargers Varsity. Moser, Angela Caldwell, and Franklin each collected three hits to lead West Noble Chargers Varsity.
Whitko tallied eight hits in the game. Starkweather and Guinevere Garr all managed multiple hits for Whitko.
